The Best Revenge is a colour changing Pink Panther-inspired NFT by Matt Gondek and we are IN LOVE. It was part of a special ‘five minute auction’ on Nifty Gateway and Gondek sold a staggering 727 at $999 each!
That is $726,273 of sales in just five minutes.
LA-based, Matt Gondek is a pop artist who paints deconstructed cartoon icons such as Mickey Mouse and Homer Simpson.
He began creating paintings and murals of these renowned characters in Pittsburgh, where he was based before relocating to LA.
He has a very loyal following online and seems like an all-round good guy.
After this historical auction he tweeted to tell his fans the following;
My parents are retired. My dad had a stroke two years ago. They need to move south so he can go outside and get exercise. You all just bought them a house.

This was not the only sales he achieved the night of February 26th. We estimate that in total he made almost two million across all of the works he dropped.
